For Martha, Double Dutch has always been more than a game. It’s a way to bring people together.

Growing up in New York City, she experienced firsthand how a simple rope could create friendships, build confidence, encourage movement, and turn strangers into a community. That passion eventually grew into Showdem Movement, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting wellness, joy, and connection through Double Dutch.

As the movement expanded, Martha saw an opportunity to bring that same energy beyond community events. She created Showdem Games to develop products and experiences that inspire people to move, connect, and celebrate the joy of Double Dutch—wherever they are. Today, Showdem Games transforms traditional Double Dutch into creative challenges that encourage movement, laughter, teamwork, confidence, and meaningful connection—one card at a time.
